Why this dilemma matters
These choices are rarely between good and bad — they are between different distributions of harm. Choosing “L'azienda prende posizione pubblica: i valori contano più del profitto, anche a costo di perdere clienti” prioritises rules that hold everyone the same; choosing “L'azienda resta neutrale: il suo ruolo è creare lavoro e prodotti, non influenzare il dibattito politico” gives more weight to choices that account for difference.
