Why this dilemma matters
Freedom dilemmas weigh personal autonomy against collective protection. Choosing “Accetti l'apertura per proteggere il tuo posto e garantire ai lavoratori almeno una paga straordinaria negoziata” prioritises the right to choose; choosing “Rifiuti l'apertura in nome del valore simbolico della festa, mettendo a rischio la tua posizione e quella del negozio” gives more weight to the duty to protect others.
