Why this dilemma matters
Technology rarely asks for permission once it works, so the ethics has to land before deployment. Choosing “Sì: privilegio la precisione statistica perché una diagnosi più accurata aumenta le mie probabilità di sopravvivenza, indipendentemente da chi — o cosa — la formula” prioritises the capability it unlocks; choosing “No: preferisco un medico umano che possa sbagliarsi di più, ma che integri contesto, relazione e responsabilità morale nella cura della mia salute” gives more weight to the agency it costs.
