Why this dilemma matters
This is a right-vs-right question: every choice respects one value while sacrificing another. Choosing “Yes. One betrayal can prevent a world of suffering” prioritises the cleaner moral line; choosing “No. A world saved by betrayal is already corrupted” gives more weight to the smaller real-world cost.
