In close relationships, the kindest choice and the truest choice rarely overlap perfectly. Choosing “Sì. Proteggersi può richiedere distanza” prioritises who you want to be for them; choosing “No. Non deve perdere un’amicizia per i tuoi sentimenti” gives more weight to who you actually are.
