Why this dilemma matters
Survival dilemmas force a trade between short-term safety and long-term cost. Choosing “Autorizzare l'attacco, salvando i tuoi soldati e completando la missione militare a caro prezzo” prioritises protecting yourself first; choosing “Rifiutare l'attacco diretto, cercando un'alternativa più rischiosa per le tue truppe per rispettare la vita innocente” gives more weight to protecting others first.
Worth asking yourself
- Could you live with the outcome you skipped?
- Who pays the price you avoid?
