Why this dilemma matters
No legal answer is the same as a moral answer here — both have to be argued. Choosing “Confesso il crimine, accettando le conseguenze legali per riparare l'ingiustizia fatta alla comunità” prioritises the strict rule; choosing “Resto in silenzio, proteggendo il benessere e la stabilità della mia famiglia fondata su quel passato” gives more weight to a context-aware exception.
