Why this dilemma matters
These dilemmas put rules and circumstances against each other and demand a verdict. Choosing “Confessi e accetti le conseguenze: la coscienza pulita vale qualsiasi costo personale” prioritises the letter of the law; choosing “Rimani in silenzio e dedichi la vita a fare del bene, riparando in modo indiretto” gives more weight to the spirit behind it.
