Why this dilemma matters
Justice questions ask whether the law, fairness, or mercy should lead the call. Choosing “Vaccino al medico giovane: preservare chi salva molte vite ha un valore collettivo che supera il singolo caso” prioritises equal treatment for all; choosing “Vaccino all'anziano vulnerabile: nessun sistema di valori può rendere la vita di una persona meno degna di essere protetta” gives more weight to proportionate response to one case.
