Why this dilemma matters
These dilemmas put rules and circumstances against each other and demand a verdict. Choosing “Allow it. Fairness means removing barriers” prioritises the letter of the law; choosing “Ban it. Exams must measure everyone the same way” gives more weight to the spirit behind it.
