No legal answer is the same as a moral answer here — both have to be argued. Choosing “Sì. L'autorità spirituale dovrebbe interrompere la logica della vendetta” prioritises the strict rule; choosing “No. Chiedere pace troppo presto può abbandonare la giustizia” gives more weight to a context-aware exception.
